So, while the author does not really push the fact that Angelo Moore tends towards hyperbole and outright fantasy, I do love the idea of a Fishbone, Living Colour, Bad Brains triple bill.
Like he says...help make it happen.
And now, one album each:
I think every week I am just going to pick an artist and the 10 songs (that week) that I would recommend to experience from them:
This week, Living Colour.
Release the Pressure
Visions
T.V News
Time's Up (live)
Solace of You
Cult of Personality
Nightmare City
Under Cover of Darkness
Auslander
Nothingness
and in this case I'll make a minor exception for two great b-side covers to make this a dozen total:
Sailin' On (by Bad Brains)
17 Days (Prince)
Tack>>Head
Videohead
I scored this lovely EP on vinyl at Sacramento's greatest music store. The Beat.
It is called Videohead, but make no mistake, it's Tack>>Head under one of their many heteronyms. A collaboration between core T>>H quartet Keith leBlanc, Doug Wimbish, Skip MacDonald and Adrian Sherwood with extra help from regular co-conspirator Bernard Fowler. Tim Simenon (Bomb the Bass, Depeche Mode) and techno producer DJ X also lend a hand or sample here and there.
It lacks the subharmonic madness overall one would expect, but still maintains the industrial funk and collage of found sounds, vocal samples, and machine precise musicianship. It is four tracks, with two being mixes of the title cut, and a third mix renamed Dubhead. The best is the b-side, called Overload, which does in fact get deep into what I look for in an On-U Sound/Tack>>Head release: layers of futuristic synths and samples, anthemic slabs of funk in the form of Wimbish and LeBlanc's beat neuroscience, and an overall sense of both narcotic groove and aesthetic dread. It also features what appears to be an uncredited vocal contributed by the late Andy Fairley. If you can find it for less than standard mercenary import pricing, it might be worth grabbing.
Here are some related On-U Sound/Tack>>Head releases:
A collection of broadcasts with various Black Rock Coalition artists (including such really undervalued frontrunners as The Family Stand, Burnt Sugar, and various sideprojects of the members of Living Colour).*

* Whose leader, guitarist Vernon Reid, is BRC co-founder as well.
So Living Colour recently did another leg of touring, this time in Europe. Since they are one of the few clueful bands that allow non-commercial audiotaping of shows, their gig at Porgy & Bess last month is now available.
They are way too slept on. It is a free download of an entire show. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen or three.
